Basic Musical Terms

Acoustics   The science dealing with sound and the treatment of
Altered Chord  A chord that has been altered by raising or lowering one
of more of its elements (root third fifth or seventh) a half step but has

Blue Note  Most often a flatted third or seventh note of the scale
